Purpose and Philosophy
Central Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten is dedicated to providing Christian growth and preparation for entry into public or private schools to children from 18 months to six years old.

Our program is structured to provide growth in each child's development...

Spiritually
The program will help each child gain knowledge of God, and His love and care.
Physically
Indoor and outdoor play (both structured and unstructured) will help each child gain physical strength and develop motor skills.
Mentally
By giving opportunities for self expression, investigation, and participation in group activities, each child will increase in knowledge of the world and how to live in it.  Our goal is to promote the processing of information and to motivate learning.
Socially
Each child will learn to work and play with children in the same age group.  Each will learn to respect the personal property rights of others, and to express kindness, courtesy, and consideration towards others.
Emotionally
Caregivers will assist each child to mature in reaction to emotional situations and in the expression of emotional repsonses.

Central Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten Schedule & Registration

School Year Session: 
The school year session begins in mid-August and goes until end of May.

The child's age as of September 30th determines when he/she enters the classroom.

Registration:
Registration takes place in late February through early March.  There is one day of Open Registration.  The best idea is to call in January to find out where openings may be as these change yearly.  Waiting lists are first come/first served.

Enrichment
Our enrichment class provides a different educational activity each day for children ages 18 months and up enrolled in the Preschool and Kindergarten programs.  Each class recieves individualized instruction with our enrichment teacher.  The schedule is as follows:

Monday - Music
Tuesday - Library
Wednesday - Chapel
Thursday - Spanish and Sign Language
Friday - Art/Games

Our Staff:
All of our staff members are experienced early childhood educators.  Our entire staff is encouraged to enhance their education and experience through training classes offered as a part of our continuing teaching education program.  All teachers meet or exceed the 12 hour minimum required by the Department of Education for all childcare workers.  All Kindergarten teachers are licensed by the State of Tennessee and receive 30 hours of continuing education each year.

Tuition
Preschool
2 days per week.............$150/month

3 days per week.............$175/month

5 days per week.............$230/month

Kindergarten
5 days per week.............$235/month

Other Fees
Registration Fee: $60
This fee reserves your child's space in the classroom and is due at the time of registration.

Supply Fee: $50
This fee is used for glue, paint, paper, and other consumables used throughout the school year.  See our staff for details about when to pay the supply fee.

Forms
All children must have a "Tennessee Department of Health School Immunization Certificate" (Preschool or School, depending on age) on file before beginning the Program.
